i have been using TopGreener for a few years and found it very useful, but notice their offerings for the monitoring cubes are diminishing and not on Amazon anymore.
However, in this video I also notice that BN-Link has exactly the same app interface as TopGreener. I am now wondering if there is a cross relationship between them, and I could buy BN-Link to port over the TopGreener devices.
Thank you for this video. I have a challenge for you. I have been living for the past 20 years with this issue: I have to turn on the lights to the bathroom before I close the door to it. I don’t want to do a bunch of construction to move the switch inside. Is there a wireless kit like the remote you showed in this video that does something similar?
That screw on the plug cover is not perfectly vertical!
I don’t want the monitor to be able to shut off the connected device, i.e. no relay.. just monitor the power. It would be nice if it has a way to customize the webserver interface, otherwise I’ll need my own DIY ESP32 solution? For example, the webserver would just be a green background when running, and red when off.
Is there a COTS solution, or am I better off modifying ESPHome and flashing it onto a Sonoff S31 / Athom Plug / Tasmota US Plug V2 ?
Great overview, thank you. What a racket! Perhaps if they were actually made for the U.S. market – outlet dimensions, etc. – there wouldn’t be so much confusion.
